Instructions
In a medium saucepan, on medium heat, slightly heat 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, corn syrup, ground ginger, garlic powder for 1 minute.
In a small bowl, mix corn starch and 1/4 cup cold water until dissolved. Add slowly to the saucepan while stirring.
Bring mixture in saucepan to a slight simmer for 7-10 minutes until sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
